French Street Sign
An early 20th century steel French street sign on a wooden board. This street sign reads N2 Elargissement De La Rue Milieu XIX, which translates to the middle 19th street. It is in fair condition having suffered some rusting to the top right hand side, however as a decorative piece it is lovely. The steel sheet is etched with the lettering and then gilded which once would have been pretty bright however the years have faded this away. The wooden oak board is a later addition. circa 1920
