Very decorative and a great size 19th century French rippled gilt mirror, retaining its original mercury mirror plate, circa 1880.
The mirror can be hung either "landscape" as I have shown or "portrait" to suit your mantle or console, sideboard etc.
The gold leaf has aged beautifully with some of the red base coming through which is a lovely effect. It has been lightly cleaned and buffed, giving it a warm glow and compliments the original mirror plate too.
Great decorative mirror and in good original condition.
Measuring:
25 1/2 inches or 65 cm high
31 3/4 inches or 81 cm wide
3.5 cm deep Based in Uppingham, Rutland…having been in the business for 25 years focusing on mostly French and English decorative antiques and interiors from the 18th to the early 20th century, hopefully a collection you will enjoy browsing and hopefully re home some of my finds!

Viewing here in Uppingham is very welcome in my spacious barn studio but also I have a showroom based within the Uppingham Antiques Centre, which is well worth a visit and have a good lunch in town too!
