Here is a stunning antique French oak Fauteuil tapestry carved armchair (circa 1880).

Here is a stunning antique French oak Fauteuil tapestry carved armchair (circa 1880) from the 2nd Empire period. The chair is constructed of solid oak and features a very pretty carved frame with a high shaped back straight front and carved cabriole legs, which are connected with carved shaped stretchers. The armchair features down swept arms, which terminate in scroll ends. The chair boasts it original handwork upholstered. The upholstery is finished with original brass studs studs to the whole frame. The back features suede beige upholstery. The seats firmly sprung so that you do not sink into the seats but at the same time is extremely comfortable.
The frame of the chair features a rich warm oak colour. As it boasts the original polish, it has a fantastic colour and patination this can only be achieved through age and years of care and cleaning it has received.
This item would look superb in a variety of rooms from the bedroom, living room, dining or hallway. This item would certainly grace any home and are a great investment as they are an extremely functional. So don't miss out your chance to own a lovely piece of antique furniture.
