French Empire style mahogany armchairs c.1900.
Quality pair of French Empire style mahogany armchairs c.1900. Very comfortable with padded backrests and sides and deep feather filled cushions on sprung bases. Exposed mahogany frames, superb curving arms with supports carved as Classical style fish (often referred to as dolphins) complete with scaly tails where they join to the backrests. Upholstered in a soft moss green velvet chenille with brass studs and piped edges to the cushions. Excellent colour and condition with clean covers. Frames have been cleaned and polished in our workshops.
