French Antique Show Cabinet, Victorian Cupboard
This is an impressive French antique show cabinet dating to the late Victorian period c.1890.
A fine and rare example in very good order
Crafted in choice cuts of walnut
Good colour and desirable grain interest
Working locks and keys to the upper and lower cabinet doors
Raised on inset feet to the wide lower moulding
Imposing and practical - a fine statement item for any room of the home
Separates into three sections for ease of installation
Lower Cabinet:
Twin field panel doors with quartered raised moulding and fine central carved foliate interest
Ornate lock escutcheons with working lock and key
Single shelf within - oak panelling to rear
Twin upper drawers dressed with cast pulls - drawers oak lined and dovetailed
Fluted columns flank below an extended upper
Upper Cabinet:
Twin field panel doors sit below the generous crown
Rises over baluster form vases - with stud detailed narrow shelf afront the tri-panel back
Ornate lock escutcheons with working lock and key
Twin, adjustable internal shelves
