ARTIST Frank Vernon Martin (1921-2005)

The WOODCUT, “The Perils of Pauline”, was printed in five colours. The most famous of all serials was released by Pathe in April 1914 and was a vast success. The long-suffering heroine was Pearl White, who later made other serials before retiring from the screen in1924 to live in France.
