This is a lovely quality 19th century pair of Chinese gouache pith paintings of butterflies and flowers in attractive frames which also probably originate from the Far East. There is some discolouration in the margins outside the images but the level of detail in the compositions is of the highest order.

Dimensions: 36 x 26 cm
Weight 398 & 404 g

Condition: Some discolouration of the background and splitting of the paper particularly on the one with orange butterfly. The other with blue butterfly has a split/repair on the right margin only.
