Artist - Henry Charles Woollett (c.1826-1893), a British artist

Medium - Oil on canvas
Details - Attractive original oil on canvas featuring a disused mill to one side with cattle, sheep, and a drover on horseback in the centre. Signed in the right-hand corner. The painting has been possibly laquered over, whether at the time or subsequently we are unsure. Framed in a period wood and jesso gilt-painted frame.
Condition - Overall in good condition with some wear consistent with age. As is mentioned above the painting may have been laquered over at some point. It is discoloured (yellowed) and has some scuffs and paint flecks. The frame has some wear and damage consistent with age. It has some significant cracking, crazing and loss and some signs of overpainting.
