Four Silver Gilt Bon Bon Dishes, London 1919
A stunning set of four silver gilt bon bon dishes, each fully hallmarked for The Goldsmiths & Silversmiths Co, 112 Regent Street, London, 1919.
The London Goldsmiths & Silversmiths Company (1893-1952) was known for producing high-quality silverware, including flatware, hollow ware, and decorative objects. The company's pieces were often characterised by their ornate designs, intricate detailing, and excellent craftsmanship.
This set of four bon bon dishes are are a shining example of the intricate silver work produced by The London Goldsmiths & Silversmiths Company. Each bon bon dish has an intricate pierced border and three finely fluted legs. The centre of each dish bears an emblem of a gauntleted hand holding a flag of England.
Each bonbon dish has some lights signs of wear to the surface and some tarnish to the underside. One dish has a small indentation to the bowl (please see photographs).
An extremely attractive set.
