Little is known about Ernest, he was clearly a very talented artist with a very capable hand for detail. He always used the medium of pencil or pen and ink, his subjects were invariably attractive young women. The majority of his drawings were copies of drawings by other famous Edwardian artists. He would have copied the images from magazines and adverts of the time.
Painting Details
This is an excellently well executed drawing of a young lady seated drawn in pencil with exquisite detail. The drawing is marked flapper and is clear to see that the subject was a beautiful good time girl. The drawing is original dating from around 1905.
