A Minton brooch, by J E Dean, the oval porcelain plaque finely painted with a pheasant taking flight against clouded blue sky above heather coloured tree tops. This superb piece is not signed Minton but signed 'JE Dean' who was one of Minton's leading artists. This stunning piece is set in an elegant pinchbeck mount that has a long pin and a bail so that it can be worn on a chain or fitted with a safety chain. These small miniatures are rare and this one is in excellent condition. Circa 1900 it is 7cm at the pin 5.4cm wide and 1.5 cm deep including the mount. Please contact us with any queries.
