Fine Yew Wood High Windsor Armchair Retford Maker
A Fine Yew Wood Windsor Armchair, this is a high back chair and is a match to the set of four I have on sale here, it is probably a chair made by William Wheatland whilst he was working in the town of Retford before his move to Rockley in 1822.
The chair has an Elm seat crinoline stretcher a shaped underarm support and the scratch carved line around the top edge of the seat, it is in excellent condition with a pleasing colour and patina.
