Fine Regency Giltwood and Gesso Girandole Convex Mirror %%alt5%% %%alt6%%
An outstanding Regency Giltwood Girandole Mirror from the early 19th century circa 1820. The fine mirror has a fabulous lion crest stood on a rockwork plume with four scrolling candle arms with gilt bronze sconces to the sides. The apron is decorated with mythical Grecian hippocampus or seahorses on a feathered plinth. The convex glass is framed with a reeded ebony mount and gilded balls around an inner oak leaf and acorn border. This is an exceptionally good, highly decorative piece in outstanding original condition. The water gilding is all original and the convex glass is the original mercury plate in a nice antique condition.
The piece measures 130 cms high overall by 66 cms wide

UK delivery is with our careful antique furniture courier and costs £65 plus vat to most destinations.
