Fine Quality Pair of Victorian Desk Chairs
A very fine quality pair of 19th Century Victorian mahogany leathered desk chairs in the style of Thomas Chippendale. Dating to circa 1880-1900 and constructed in mahogany these finely carved pair of armchairs / desk chairs are in excellent condition with no breaks. Having a Chippendale style and intricately carved vase shaped back splat adorned with foliage supported by two shepherds crook shaped mahogany carved arms terminating with acanthus leaves and shaped S scroll supports begin with acanthus leaf decoration. Having the most beautifully coloured faded old leather bowed seats in excellent condition with no rips or tears and raised on front carved cabriole legs with acanthus leaf carving to the knee terminating and ball and claw feet with splay rear legs. These decent sized and very practical desk / armchairs are in showroom condition boasting beautiful warm mahogany colour having been waxed using traditional methods with no loose joints or breaks.
