This is a particularly fine hand woven silk Ghom carpet with a stunning hunting design dating from around 1920. The very dark indigo ground sets off the fabulous scenes depicted with huntsmen on horseback in pursuit of many forest wild animals including deer and the lions. A very nice example, the carpet is in excellent condition and measures 155 cms by 108 cms.
