Fine & Rare 1 wide Spiers of Ayr rebate plane
FINE & RARE 1" wide SPIERS of AYR dovetailed steel square rebate plane in completely original condition. All parts of the plane are number stamped with a 4 including the original snecked iron by James Howarth of Sheffield.

Very nice rosewood infill including the wedge which is free from bashes or dents. One of the finest mouths I've ever seen on one of these planes. A few very minor pitting spots due to poor storage in the Shetland Isles.

The 1" wide version of this plane is RARE and this is a very good one.
