A nineteenth century harness maker's lignum vitae collar mallet.Original beechwood handle.
Mallet head measures 6" x 4".Length including handle 11.5".
Weight 1938 grms
These mallets were used to hard fill the leather collars of draught horses.

Condition is good for age and use with some knocks to be expected(see photos) but no cracks.
