Fine 19thC Grandmothers Farmhouse Chair
A superb 19th Century beech and elm farmhouse armchair of desirable generous proportions. Featuring a very pretty pierced and shaped back splat, turned spindles, shaped seat and sweeping arms.
This low arm design being produced to allow the seater unrestricted arm movement for house hold work such as sewing, knitting and food prep, now perfect for reading the newspaper or using a tablet. With well turned legs and beautifully grained single slab quarter sawn and saddled elm seat it is a very comfortable chair.
Strong and stable with outstanding original condition with the best of colour.
