Fernand jeanneau 1884-1966. Breton painter.

Born on march 9, 1884 in châtellerault (vienne) and died on february 2, 1966 in lorient (morbihan), jeanneau joined the navy in 1907 as a pharmacist. He was posted many times in the port of lorient. Made a knight of the legion of honour, he ended his military career as a reservist in the same port from 1932 where he "devoted himself fully to painting (...). At the end of the second world war, he moved to quimperlé where (...) he most often paints landscapes with a large touch of bright color. They will be accentuated over the years, in an almost expressionist style (source: médiathèque de quimperlé)".
