Circa 1920. Exceptional oak framed Orkney chair in the David Kirkness style. The shaped back in woven oaten straw and marram grass in excellent condition, the oak frame with classical neat scrolled arms. The lift out woven seat also in perfect condition. All supported on square tapering supports with peripheral stretchers. Owned by the same family for two generations, and by reputation the oak came from the beams of St, Magnus Cathedral, Kirkwall.
