Etruscan Bucchero Kantharos

An elegant Etruscan bucchero kantharos with a carinated bowl and high arching strap handles, not quite identical, either side which extend above the lip of the cup. A flanged border between the body and the foot is decorated with a toothed ridge around the base. With an old, yellowed inventory card.
Etruscan Italy: Circa 625-550BC.
Very Fine condition: A professional repair to both handles (as usually is the case).
Diameter across the top of the bowl 13 cms (5.1 ins). Height to top of the handles 12 cms (4.7 ins).
