Eric Rhonnstad’s name has become synonymous with the shimmering winter landscape paintings that represent the countryside around his home in Varmland, in the West of Sweden. Rhonnstad’s finest works have a luminous quality that reflect the bright and clear winter days and nights. A self-taught artist, Eric Rhonnstad exhibited in galleries throughout Sweden. His son Olle, inspired by his father’s technique and skill, went on to become a notable artist painting in a similar manner. Today Eric Rhonnstad’s work is collected widely and represented in several public and private collections in Sweden.
