English Silver Gilt George I Style Wall Mirror

A mid 19th Century copy of a George I wall mirror.
The mouldings are extremely sharp and the design is elegant and well balanced.
The original gilding has survived with some refreshment.
It was not unusual from the William IV period for frames to be made in the manner of those dating from the previous century, however very rarely does this type of frame appear in silver.
Glass is original and in excellent condition. If this item is not entirely suitable, please do not hesitate to contact us as we have a large store of un-restored items which can be started on if necessary.
All our mirror frames are fully restored using gold leaf and traditional materials.
We have over 30 years experience of gilding and restoration and we are very happy to undertake restoration work of any item, antique picture frame or antique mirror frame of yours that may need repair, re-gilding or indeed, simply cleaning.
