A handsome late Victorian solid English Oak and silver plated biscuit box, clearly a presentation piece with it's trophy looks and duel vacant mounts to both front and back.

The box stands on a turned solid Oak footed base mounted with silver plate. The lid once removed reveals the makers mark on the underside for KAYSER, ELLISON & CO. of Sheffield. The interior is lucky to retain the original creamware liner, intact and in excellent condition.

Dating to the late Victorian era, around 1890, the box remains in superb condition.
