A magnificent large square inkwell which is made from English polished brass mounted on the top with a cast Bronze figure of the most charming playing kitten with a ball of wool or string. This wonderful little figure retains his two original little green glass eyes.

The hinged lid opens to reveal the original removable ink chamber within, for easy re-filling and cleaning. Dating to the Victorian era, around 1880, it remains in wonderful condition. The perfect desk-top accessory for the cat devotee. A good size with a footprint measuring 5" x 5" and standing 4" tall to highest point.
