Description:
Here is good quality antique English Art Deco office chair, constructed from solid oak, with a revolving and height adjustable mechanism, newly upholstered in brown leather, circa 1935, in excellent original working condition. Constructed with an upholstered backrest, with bentwood shaped arms, and a padded seat, this is an extremely comfortable office chair to sit on! The Art Deco office chair has been newly upholstered in a full grain brown leather hide, finished with hand-tacked bass studs to the outside frame and finished with traditional hessian webbing to the underside. The chair frame has been cleaned and French polished, by hand, to a professional standard in our workshop, therefore the colour and patination is of an excellent standard. The Art Deco office chair incorporates its original mechanism, which rotates 360 degrees the seat height can also be adjusted by turning a ribbed metal “bell” shaped vertical screw on the front of the underside of the chair. The mechanism also features a reclining action, the tension of which can be adjusted by turning a small wheel at the front of the mechanism. The chair mechanism is original and it has been stripped down, cleaned and serviced, therefore it is in good working original condition. The chair sits on four splayed solid legs that terminate on new vintage style “ball” castors. The Art Deco office chair is sturdy and the item is extremely comfortable to sit on, as it features a lovely padded seat.
This Art Deco desk chair would look superb in a variety of rooms in the home, especially the office or study as it is so comfortable. This item would certainly grace any home.

Nominal old use marks to the leading edges of the oak desk chair frame but nothing significant considering the age of the item. The Art Deco office chair has been newly upholstered in a full grain brown leather hide, finished with hand-tacked bass studs to the outside frame and finished with traditional hessian webbing to the underside. The chair mechanism is original and it has been stripped down, cleaned and serviced, therefore it is in good working original condition. There is some play to the mechanism but this is perfectly acceptable, and in line with the age of the chair. The Art Deco desk chair sits on new vintage style “ball” castors. This item is solid in joint and ready to use.

We offer free delivery to mainland England, Wales, and Southern Scotland (anywhere south of Stirling). We do not offer free delivery to locations north of Stirling in Scotland, Northern Ireland, or any British Islands off the mainland for example, the Isle of Man, Isle of White and Channel Islands. Delivery times are usually 1-4 weeks depending on location we aim to deliver the majority of items within 2 weeks. All items are professionally packaged and fully insured in transit therefore, we can assure you, your items will be securely protected in transit and arrive safely with you.
