Edwardian Silver Plate Christening Cup, c.1906

This is a charming Edwardian Silver Plated Christening Cup with a floral garland around the base and flower decoration on the handle. The cup is neatly engraved with HENRY - JUNE 27TH 1906, obviously the original recipient of the cup.
The christening cup was made in Birmingham by J.B. Chatterley & Sons Ltd in 1906 or shortly beforehand. John Bishop Chatterley founded his company in Birmingham in around 1880, later opening a showroom in London\'s prestigious Hatton Garden and remaining in business until the late 1930s.
Condition is good with just a very small amount of plate loss on the rim of the cup above the engraving. Please make sure to view all the photographs.
The cup is 7.5cm high to the top of the handle and 6.8cm in diameter across the top rim. It weighs 126.4g.
The cup is marked on the base with EPNS for electroplated nickel silver (ie silver plate), Made In England and the distinctive J.B.C & S Ltd in a crescent trademark for J.B. Chatterley & Sons Ltd.
Shipping in the UK is £6 by Royal Mail 1st Class Signed For Parcel Post.
