A very good Edwardian country house letter box The mahogany case having satinwood cross banding between boxwood and ebony lines, the “ LETTERS’’ inlaid with boxwood and having 2 beveled glass windows, one for advertising days and times of collection with working lock and key. These letter boxes were often found in hotels and country houses where mail was collected before transfer to the local post office. Dimensions:- Height…9’’/ 23cm. Width…12.25’’/ 31cm.
