Edwardian Arts & Crafts Oak Captains Desk Chair
A magnificent antique Edwardian Arts and Crafts oak desk chair or captains chair dating from circa 1910. With shaped arms and a central pierced back splat under a curved top rail, with a scalloped saddle seat and tapered legs united by cross stretchers. In a beautifully figured solid oak, very solid and sturdy, and actually quite comfortable it would make a very stylish desk chair. With monogram of “ER” stamped to back of seat rail.

Good colour and patina. Solid and sturdy. Wear and marks commensurate with age. Some deep nibbles to the back of the front leg which have been filled with wax.
