Edwardian Art Nouveau inlaid armchair

A very decorative and elegant Art Nouveau armchair in mahogany and dating to the Edwardian period (c. 1910). The padded arms are supported by pierced side splats featuring stylised floral motifs inlaid in copper, satinwood and boxwood. The sprung seat is raised on square tapering forelegs ending in brass Cope's castors and out swept back legs also terminating in brass castors. The armchair is traditionally re-upholstered from the frame by The Sitting Place. The chenille type Tiverton fabric by iLiv (sand colour) with colour coordinated trimming and nail detailing beautifully complements this Art Nouveau armchair, which would make a beautiful and comfortable addition to a lounge setting. Table and accessories are for display purposes only.
Where applicable, our upholstered items of stock are fully newly traditionally re-upholstered in-house using only traditional materials and no foam so as to be in-keeping with the age of the piece as an antique.

Condition Good original condition, various scuffs commensurate with past use and age, one side splat has minor hairline splitting in two small areas (one repaired, the other too small), which does not undermine the stability of the splat, the other splat has some minor rubbing to the copper (see photos), very tiny old chipped part on lower back seat rail.

Returns policy
There is a right to cancel an order from the moment the order is placed to The Sitting Place up to 14 days from the day the item is delivered/received. In the unlikely event that the customer/buyer is not pleased with a purchase made from The Sitting Place, the item in question may be returned. Notification of a return to The Sitting Place is to be made by the customer by email or by phone on +44(0)7341770324.
The item needs to be returned within a further 14 days to The Sitting Place and in the condition the item was received and suitable for re-sale. The customer is to take reasonable care and ensure that the item is well protected when returning the item. The customer is informed that a deduction of the refund will be made to cover for delivery cost to complete the return of the item(s) (unless otherwise agreed). A further reduction of the refund can be made by The Sitting Place if the value of the item has been reduced as a result of the customer handling the item more than was necessary or as a result of the item being soiled and/or damaged.
The return of the item will be arranged by The Sitting Place. Refunds will be made to the customer/buyer, within 14 days of The Sitting Place receiving the returned item(s). Returns cannot be made for items purchased from outside the United Kingdom.
