Early Victorian" sham dram" gin glass
An early Victorian "sham dram" gin glass with highly deceptive bowl.Lens cut funnel shape.Polished pontil.
9.5 cms high,4.7 cms bowl,6 cms foot.
1830-1840

There was no legal standard measure at this time and with a deceptive or "sham dram" glass the purchaser would get less than he anticipated.
