Beautiful early Victorian Heavy 9ct Gold Bracelet with Garnet Heart Padlock Locket 18.4g. Good heavy chain bracelet with incredible gold work, faceted links, pierced links, carving to the gold beads on all sides and in wonderful coloured Antique gold. The bracelet comes with is own heart shaped padlock with and integrated locket to the back which is in tact and a large garnet stone to the front. The garnet cabochon measures 9mm x 6mm and is in good condition with a beautiful deep red colour The width of the larger links is 1cm. The circumference of the chain is approx 17 - 18cm. The bracelet is likely to be made by Fattorini & Sons an Italian antique jewellery business established in 1831 in Bradford, who made very similar bracelets. The chain is in great condition, however there is wear to the gold on the locket face and some damage to the gold around the Garnet but this does not really detract from the beauty of the piece. The clasp works well and the safety chain is intact. Fantastic piece of antique antique jewellery, elegant and ready to wear. The chain is 9ct gold throughout and is not hallmarked but has been fully tested and is believed to date to around 1850. The bracelet weighs a good heavy 18.4g
