Early c19th gilt pier mirror with Wedgewood plaque pier mirror regency mirror console mirror %%alt5%% %%alt6%%
Interesting early 19th century gilt pier mirror with a Regency style and also the Wedgewood plaque to the pediment.
Very decorative mirror and has great detail to the frame. The frame has been over gilded at some point in its lifetime and also shows signs of age with some small beading loses which I have left all as they are. For this particular mirror, it seems right to leave it as is, although I have stabilised all remaining beadings.
As you will see from the photos, there is a base gilt finish, but also the small beading throughout the whole frame is gilt highlighted and also, there is a black highlighting too.
Great mirror and I'm sure could tell us all some fascinating stories of what it has seen over the years!
All original back boards and original mirror plate.
Measuring:
45 3/4” or 106cm high
23 1/4” or 59cm wide
