Early 20thC 5-Stone, Diamond & 18ct Gold Ring
A diamond and 18ct gold ring - five graduated, old-cut diamonds, set in navette form 18ct yellow gold mount with scroll decorated shoulders - full hallmarks for Birmingham 1914, maker Deakin & Francis - ring size N.
This lovely ring is typical of the period and and a good eample of is type - nice lustrous diamonds and in etremly good order for its age.
Hallmarked in the year of the outbreak of WWI - imagine a young man and his sweetheart getting engaged ring for his sweetheart as he left for service?
Excellent for its age little sign of wear.
I trade in small silver, jewellery and objets d'art. I sell primarily at antiques fairs and in cabinets in Christique Antique Centre in Dorking. I try to find unusual and interesting stock and like to keep turning it over, so I can buy more. Postage and packing are free within the UK - unless explicitly stated otherwise. I keep hardly any stock at home, if you want to buy something and need it urgently, I will usually do it the next day, but it may take me some time to respond if you need extra photographs and/or details about the piece that I do not have to hand, as I typically visit the antiques centre just once a week.
