This is a delightful Indian wedding rug or wall hanging with a stunning design and bold colour palette. The rug is worked on a cotton ground embroidered with a trellis design filled with hand worked flowers in pink, green, indigo and yellow threads surrounded by a colourful leaf border. The trellis design is inset with small circular mica panels that give a lovely reflective lustre to the piece. The rug is in good order overall and measures 85 cms by 140 cms. This would make a very colourful and eye catching sofa throw or bed cover.
