Early 20th C. Dutch Silver Plated Matchbox Holder
This is a very attractive Dutch Silver Plated Matchbox Holder from the first half of the 20th century. The holder is decorated with a rural scene featuring a farmer, sheep and cattle sheltering under a tree.
There is no makers' mark on the matchbox holder but it has the word PLEET on the side of the holder, which is the Dutch term for silver plate.
Condition is good with just one tiny ding on the side and no significant plate loss. Please make sure to view all the photographs.
The matchbox holder is 5.5cm long, 3.7cm wide and 1.8cm deep. It weighs 33g.
