Good sized early 19th.c ash and elm Windsor armchair c.1820. High ‘comb’ backrest with ash spindles, top rail and arms on swept supports. Over an unusually large shaped seat from a single elm board. Raised on turned legs, splayed for stability and joined with an H stretcher. Note the scratch carved scroll detail to the ends of the arms. Very good condition, cleaned and waxed in our workshops.
