This Toilet Mirror with drawers was created to grace the fine new walnut antique tables and chest of drawers of the late 17th/early 18th century. Made of oak, and veneered with walnut, the base consists of 2 tiers of drawers, with extravagant shaping to the front. The small brass handles are original. The swing mirror has been repaired where the fragile gilded gesso surround has deteriorated over the years. The glass is an old replacement with good clarity. A dark glowing warmth and lovely waxed surface makes this walnut period mirror a treasure. Circa 1700
