A lovely early 18th century rocking chair in good condition, this has a wide seat and a drawer below. This box element is typical of lambing chairs, although in this case the usual high wings and arms are absent.

- ‘Lambing’ chair, traditionally from the Lancashire and Yorkshire dales, used in a region where sheep farming is prevalent.
- Drawer in seat, opening from the left side, with metal pull.
- Stands on rockers.
- Beautiful colour and patina.
- Lovely pierced splat with a decorative urn shape.
- Simple and attractive design.

This will look lovely in an English cottage or in a large country kitchen, perhaps by the fireside.

In good condition showing wear consistent with age and use.
