Antique Vanity Mirror - Super Shape - c1835

A gorgeous example of a William lV Dressing Mirror.

This lovely antique is in great order throughout. A 'cow-horn' shaped carved frame sweeps from the plinth mounted moulded box to provide support for the mirror glass. The mirror plate is original and the surround is flame veneer mahogany.

To the side the locating side knobs are pleasingly turned and marry well with the scroll carved detail to the ends of the support frame.

The serpentine plinth benefits from pleasing proportion and sits over original gadrooned feet.

Overall a nicely proportioned and attractive mirror in good antique order. It is perfect as an everyday mirror or simply as a feature item.
