Mid 19th.c. gilt framed mirror c.1860. Original 16½” x 35½” mirror plate within an elaborate rococo carved giltwood frame of scrolling foliate forms with a tall pierced spray at the top. Wire and gesso climbing plant detail to the sides and a repeated moulded detail to the inner edge. Evocatively distressed with tarnish to the mirror plate, some missing portions of decoration to the frame and obvious wear and flaking to the gilding.
