Devon Obligation Bond dated 1738
Handwritten in English onto Watermarked (Crown and Royal Coats-of-Arms) Laid Paper, Devon Obligation Bond dated 9th May 1738. Between, Thomas Codner, the younger, of Ippelpen in the County of Devon, Taylor, held and firmly bound to John Wotton of Abbotskerwell, Gentleman, in the County of Devon, for the sum of Seven Pounds of lawful money.

There are 3 Embossed Duty Stamps of VI pence each and a 10 Pence Paper Tax Duty Stamp. Plus the part wax Seal of Thomas Codner.
