Here we have a fine quality George III Oak corner cupboard c1780. As you can see the cupboard has wonderful colour and patina. There is a moulding to the top pediment with two doors below. The Oak has been carefully chosen and quarter sawn to show the fantastic grain and medullary rays. The sides have been cross banded in beautiful flame Mahogany with Boxwood strung decoration. The doors also have an inlaid cross banded decorative band. The cupboard also retains a working lock and key and the most delightful shamrock or cloverleaf escutcheons. Internally there are three shelves with the original locking hook and receiving loop. The cupborad also retains the original and beautiful brass H hinges. A super cupboard and a great example of its type in great retail condition. The dimensions are approx 37.5 high 26 wide and 19 deep.
