This is an excellent 19th-century hand-coloured print of the etching by Charles Mottram of the Jacob Thomson painting "Crossing a Highland Loch". J. Thomson was an English landscape painter who painted "Crossing a Highland Loch" in 1858 and was then engraved by Charles Mottram (1807–1876). The print is framed in a beautiful burr walnut frame with ebonised edgings.
