A wonderful oil on card coastal painting with lighthouse. The work is typically 1930’s and very much in the style of the poster artwork of the period. There is a bold design with very delineated colours and a strong angular outline. It is likely that this was created for an advertising piece. The painting is not signed which again fits in with the nature of the piece as a commercial artwork. The work has been professionally cleaned and is in excellent condition. It is framed in a modern frame that has some time ago been painted to work with the piece. This painting has a great Art Deco period feel and a huge impact for a small painting. C.1930.
