Maker’s mark for Charles Horner, Mile Cross, Halifax & Frederick Street, Birmingham.
Approximate dimensions: silver hatpin head 43.5mm long by 29.2mm wide, weight 10.7grams, total length 29.5cm.
As usual, the long pin that the silver head is fitted to, is not silver.
The “stone” has a couple of tiny nibbles and scratches which are difficult to see with the naked eye but can be seen with a magnifier.
Overall, in Very good condition.
An impressive looking hatpin by a sought-after maker.
