Maker’s mark for Charles Horner, Mile Cross, Halifax & Frederick Street, Birmingham.
Approximate dimensions: silver hatpin head 21mm long by 20.3mm wide, weight 4.7grams, total length 22.3cm.
As usual, the long pin that the silver head is fitted to, is not silver.
The “stone” has a couple of tiny nibbles on the girdle and one near the top along with a scratch which are difficult to see with the naked eye but can be seen with a magnifier.
Overall, in Very good condition.
An impressive looking hatpin by a sought-after maker.
