Here we have 'the best of chairs' in a fine Yew wood Windsor and Elm chair attributed to Prior of High Wycombe c1840. As you can see the chair has the most delicious colour and patina. Apart from the seat every inch of this chair is carefully selected Yew wood only kept for the very best of chairs. There is a top hoop with Yew stick back and and central splat housing a beautiful disk roundel. There is a wonderful thick saddle shaped Elm seat with wonderful colour and grain. The legs are exquisitely turned and joined by a crinoline stretcher. The chair has lost no height and has super vase and peg feet. One of the best chairs that we have had in our stock and in fantastic retail condition ready for your home. The dimensions are approx 104 cm high 56 cm wide 46 cm deep.
