Here we have a large remarkable William IV armchair c1830. As you can see the chair has beautiful colour and patina. This rare chair was undoubtedly a commission piece as it is large in scale to others and has a wonderful rake to the back making it a very relaxing reading or sitting chair. The chair is finished in the finest Morrocan Burgundy Italian hide. The sumptious leather has an amazing rich colour and patina. The show frame is also stunning with scroll work tops to the arms and reeded columns leading to melon fluted legs and original casters. There is also a front frieze with reeded decoration and detailed studwork throughout the chair. Above all the chair is incredibly comfortable. A fine statement piece to be used and loved. A superb chair and one of the best we have had through our showroom in stunning condition ready for your home. The dimensions are approx 104 cm high 72 cm wide 83 cm deep.
