Here we have a fantastic rare Victorian Windsor rocking chair by John Shadford c1860. This 'Caistor' Lincolnshire rocker has super colour and patina. There is a broad top rail with wonderfully turned spindles below. The turnings on the chair are executed perfectly due to Shadford being a wood turner as well as a chair maker. The spindles, wonderfully turned legs and rocking rails are all made from Ash with the seat being a beautiful piece of Elm. A super chair in great retail condition ready for your home.
